They won the 2008 world open and closed 560 championships. This was the first time they had managed to win a world title in their long history of representing their country.

Richhill started out as an outdoor team winning the UK 600k outdoor title in 1986. A title they won again in the early 90’s. They also won a number of silver and bronze medals at both European and World level.
In the mid 90’s Richhill turned their attention to indoor and from then, they have continued to be 1 of the main teams to beat at the lighter weights.
They won the UK indoor title in 2005 and went on to finish second at the world indoor closed championships in Killarney 2006. 2008 was with out question their most successful year.

The club has a healthy blend of both experience and youth with an average squad size of between 14-16 pullers.
They train just outside of Armagh in a converted chicken shed. The Coach and Chairman is Sam Rountree and Secretary is Aidan Brennan
