The start of this years indoor season took place outdoors on a glorious autumn day at the Country comes to Town festival in Portadown on Saturday past. The mats were laid out along the main thoroughfare adjacent to market traders and stalls and close to the Cattle Judging and the pony displays.
On the day we had 4 teams Richill A and B, Ballyheagan and Leos competing at catch weight.
  The first pull of the day was between Richill A and leos this was eagerly contested by both teams but the result was 3 points to Richill A with two straight ends. Ballyheagan beat Richill B in two straights ends . The Next Pull Proved to be the pull of the day with Leos and Richill B Taking  one end each in two very hard fought ends that brought great support from the large crowd that had assembled . The Final contested by Richill A and Ballyheagan Started with Ballyheagan attacking  Richill in the first end taking them to the line before losing out to a slightly fitter Richill .
In the second  richill went on the attack and despit fierce resistance from Ballyheagan went on to win in two straight ends.
